The problem this solves

Everything in Picklebeast used to be organized around a club you had already chosen. To find a session at a club you were not already thinking about, you had to know that club existed first. A player with a free evening had no way to ask the simplest question there is.

How it works now

A rotating card row on the home screen shows what is on today at clubs within 35 miles, across every kind of programming a club runs.

• Open play, clinics, events and lessons happening today
• Leagues, tournaments and camps whose registration is open, so a six-week league is never dressed up as a session tonight
• Every card names the club, how far away it is, and what you would pay there
• Your member rate at clubs you belong to, the guest rate everywhere else

Tap a card and you land on that club's own page for that session, where you register and pay exactly as one of their members would. There is no separate checkout and nothing new to learn.

The full browse opens the same list with the filters a traveling player actually wants:

• How far you are willing to go, from 5 to 100 miles
• Which club
• What kind of session it is
• Which day

The club filter only ever offers clubs that genuinely have something in range, so you can never pick a filter that returns nothing.

It respects who you are

You see public programming at every club nearby, plus members-only sessions at the clubs you actually belong to. A club's private events never appear, and neither does a members-only session at a club you have no relationship with.

It respects your attention

If there is nothing within range of you, the row does not appear at all. It is not an empty shelf taking up space on your home screen, it is simply absent until there is something worth showing you.

It uses your location only if you have already allowed it. Otherwise it quietly falls back to the area on your profile. It will never ask for location permission just to decide whether to show you a row of cards.

For clubs

Nothing to set up. Your public programming is listed automatically, in front of players who are near you and are not yet your members. Times are always shown in your club's own timezone, so a club two time zones away is never advertised at the wrong hour.
