Find players for a group lesson that does not exist yet

The problem this solves

Your club schedules a group clinic, and either it fills or it does not, and either way you are guessing. On the other side, a member can only join a session you have already put on the calendar. If the lesson they want is not there, that is the end of it: no way to raise their hand, and no way to find the other players who would happily split it with them.

The result was a quiet stalemate. Members waited for a clinic that never got scheduled, and clubs scheduled clinics that did not fill.

How it works now

Turn on a Looking for Coaching list for any group lesson type. Members find it in the coaching tab, on the web and in the app, and put their name down.

• They see who else is looking, with skill level and a short note about when each person is free
• A group can form for a lesson that is not on your calendar yet
• Allow posts on a list so players can sort out a night between themselves, or leave it view-only so it is just a sign-up sheet
• Your staff can take down a post that does not belong
• Members can take their name off at any time, even after you close the list

For the club, it answers two questions at once

The first is what should I schedule. A Looking for Coaching page lists every pool with who is in it, so you schedule the clinic you already know will fill instead of guessing.

The second is how do I fill this. When a group lesson you have already scheduled has empty spots, the pool is exactly the list of people to contact, and you reach them with the Email and Text tools on your members page. There is no second messaging system to learn.

Careful with your members' privacy

• Members see each other's name, skill level and note. They never see contact details, which stay with your staff
• A minor on a list is shown by short name only, with no city, no age, and no note
• A visitor who is not a member of your club sees nothing at all, unless you deliberately opt into showing a count
• Your programming demand is never published to the internet by default, including on pages you embed on your own website

Turning it on

It is off until you switch it on, per lesson type, and nothing about your existing coaching changes until you do. Available on every plan with Coaching.
