Put players into a lesson, and take them out
Lessons used to have no way to add a player at all. Now you can seat someone while you create the lesson, or any time after, add a walk-in who has never used Picklebeast, and remove a player with the refund handled right there.
Add someone in three taps
Open the lesson
The Participants card has an Add participant button, and a real one right in the empty state, so a lesson with nobody on it is no longer a dead end.
Search and pick
Type a name or an email. Your members come up first and tagged as members, and you can reach anyone on Picklebeast.
Add them
The roster and the count update in place. No page refresh, and no wondering whether it took.
Wherever you are working
While you create the lesson
The Lessons form and the quick create on your court calendar both have a participant picker, so a lesson can arrive with its roster already set.
Nobody gets silently dropped
Pick more people than the lesson holds and it still saves, seats the ones that fit, and tells you exactly who did not. You are never left believing a roster is right when it is not.
The walk-in at your desk
Add them by name and email. We create their account, give them a guest membership at your club, and email them a link to set their own password. If that email already has an account, we quietly use it rather than making a second one.
A full lesson is not a wall
It tells you the lesson is full, shows the count, and offers to raise the maximum by one and seat them, so you decide rather than being refused.
Coaches can do it from the app
The coach portal gets the same add flow on their own lessons, so a coach standing on court can seat the player who just turned up.
Notify, or do not
The player gets told they have been added, with a pay link when they owe. Turn the notice off for the person standing in front of you who already settled up.
Taking someone off, without losing track of the money
Removing a player is where it is easy to get money wrong, so this is deliberate about it.
- Nobody has paid? They come off and no money moves. One confirmation, done.
- They have paid? The refund is handled right there, all of it or part of it, back to their original payment method or as club credit.
- They used a lesson package? Their package credit is returned instead of a card refund, so the balance they bought is whole again.
- The refund does not go through? They stay on the lesson. You never end up with a player removed and out of pocket.
- Every amount is worked out on our servers, and a refund can never exceed what was actually paid, even across several partial refunds.
Getting started
It is a club setting, off until you turn it on, and it changes nothing about your existing lessons until you do. There is nothing to configure beyond that: it reads the lessons, coaches, and members your club already has. Available on every plan with Coaching.
